Give your child's mouth full mobility for a healthy smile

When a child’s frenum (a remnant of tissue on their upper lip or tongue) is too tight, it can restrict movement and cause issues with breastfeeding, speech, digestion, tooth decay, tooth spacing, and more.

What to expect at your consultation & treatment video

A frenectomy is a quick procedure (10 minutes or less) that gives your child improved mobility of their lips and tongue–and many more reasons to smile.

About the procedure

The timing of frenectomy procedures is very important. It is most commonly performed in young infants to facilitate feeding or in children once they are close to age 6 for issues other than feeding. Our doctors have received extensive training in diagnosing frenum issues and performing frenectomy procedures. They are certified in the use of soft tissue lasers.
