Welcome to Smiles In Motion Pediatric Dentistry in Amery

Meet your Amery pediatric dental expert
Dr. Eric Kenney is a pediatric dentist who specializes in caring for infants, children, teens, and young adults. It’s our goal for you and your child to have an exceptional experience every time you visit our Amery office. To do this, we provide expert dental care using our patient-centered approach, which means you’re a priority at every visit.
Pediatric dentists are like pediatricians for your child’s teeth, with 2-3 years of additional, specialized training beyond dental school. Dr. Kenney knows the unique needs of children’s teeth and is also educated on child psychology, growth, and development. You can count on us to take good care of your child’s oral health whether they are an infant or into their teens.

Come see us! Our Amery office is located in the Dental Arts building at 404 Wisconsin Avenue. We happily serve the Amery community, including Lien Elementary and Amery Middle School.
We designed the Amery office with kids in mind
Our patient-centered approach is a true patient-first mentality that helps your child’s smile thrive—and we have a lot of fun while we’re doing it! All Smiles in Motion offices are filled with things that make kids happy, from interactive games, to movie screens, and colorful exam rooms. As soon as they walk in the door, kids can feel that Smiles in Motion was created just for them. Of course, parents are important, too. Our pediatric dentist is always happy to answer your questions and provide you with helpful advice.

We can’t wait to meet you! Here’s what you can expect

Infant visit (age one)
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends seeing a dentist for the first time by age one–even the tiniest of teeth need professional care. Your pediatric specialist will assess the growth and development of your child’s mouth (including any thumb-sucking or pacifier habits) and provide tips to help you keep their smile clean and healthy.

Toddlers and preschoolers
We do not expect your child to sit in a dental chair on their own or fully cooperate until at least preschool age, and it’s perfectly normal for young children to cry. Don’t worry, we’ve got this! Your care provider will likely perform a lap-to-lap or knee-to-knee examination with a parent or caregiver’s help, providing reassurance along the way.

Elementary to young adult
These are critical years for building a positive attitude about dental care, so we do everything we can to make your child feel welcome and comfortable during their visit. Your pediatric dentist will explain things in age-appropriate terms and show the instruments they’ll be using. And of course, parents are always welcome in the room.
