Meet Dr. Brandy Helms
My interest in dentistry started at an early age when my brother severely fractured his front tooth. I found it amazing that one day it was” broken in half” and the next day it looked like nothing had happened! Between that injury and his extensive orthodontic treatment, his experience showed me how a healthy smile and a fixed broken tooth could change a person’s self-esteem and help them to become more social and confident. Throughout dental school, I had wonderful mentors who helped shape my passion for Pediatric Dentistry. My goal is to help patients and their parents feel comfortable and welcome in the dental setting while providing excellent dental care for the children of this community.
I strongly believe that there is not a one size fits all approach in pediatric dentistry. It is our goal to assess each child individually and come up with a plan specific to their needs to work towards a healthy, cavity free smile. I strive to make sure all recommendations are understood and personalized to each child and family. I enjoy coming to work each day, learning about the kids and their interests, and watching them grow over the years.

Brandy Helms, DDS
Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
I grew up in western South Dakota and eastern Iowa, where I have always enjoyed small towns and close-knit communities. My husband, Jory, and I met at the University of Iowa where he played football for the Hawkeyes, and I completed college, dental school, and residency. Together we enjoy the outdoors, cooking, playing with our dogs, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeye football team. We enjoy trying out new places to eat in the community – we are foodies! We are also proud parents of two young children, Jameson and Parker. We are loving watching them grow and learn every day and watching their love for one another grow. Being a parent has helped bring more prospective into my career and I feel it has helped build stronger bonds with my patients and families.
