Meet Dr. Erin Winn
My personal story and dental experiences as a young child have influenced who I have become and how I apply it to every patient I see and treat. I dreaded going to the dentist when I was young. This didn’t get any easier when I found out that I had a significant overbite that led to kids constantly staring at, teasing me and excluding me from friend groups all because I “looked different”. I struggled emotionally, was insecure and had low self-esteem. After spending most of my childhood at dental offices and going through surgical procedures, dental extractions and significant orthodontic work I finally saw the end result, a beautiful smile while regaining my self-confidence. My goal was to become someone who could relate and empathize with children and adolescents in similar situations, while helping to alleviate the fears that may be associated with visiting the dentist.
As a mother of 2 beautiful girls, and one who struggled with infertility and a loss of a child, I truly understand that each child in this world is unique and truly a gift. My goal is to help educate children and parents and allow parental involvement in treatment decisions so they trust their child is safe in my care.
